Break's So Close!

So I came in again this morning and I'm working on some cuts. It was a little hard waking up to come to the station, but I did it! After this, it's ALL about break :)

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Bleh

I was supposed to go to an event yesterday but I couldn't because my grandpa needed me to take him to the doctor and that was very important to do.

I'm currently at the radio station right now taking notes down on some public speaking stuff, and then I think I may be done. Can't wait til it's closer to the end of the day, and I really can't wait until tomorrow!

Client Party

So all the interns (or the ones that are left) got together and we helped out at the MANDATORY event on Thursday, which was the client party. Everyone invited got to participate in the "casino" which, if you won a lot, you got raffles and could possibly win a prize or something. I don't know -- we were all signing people in and giving them nametags. The nametags later were a lot of fun to do because we made crazy ones for ourself, including "Chris King" for me (who sadly quit the other day). Another intern was "Bill Brown" and another "Joe Cosmo." We enjoyed ourselves. And then we even got to dance a bit later.

Events

So last week it was cold and rainy and crappy but we went to pathmark for Island Harvest. It was better because of Erin and Heather.

Today is the client party. Dressing up.

Next Monday is Island Harvest part dux.

Oof

This waking up at 5:30 or so is starting to kill me a bit. I'm forgetting how to stay used to it! Not cool, man. I need my cappuccino.

Yesterday

I went to the radio station yesterday and did a lot of promotions stuff -- white board, labeling, and then I was looking up tree lightings for all different towns on Long Island. It got me so excited. I LOVE this season.

Exhausted. Times 1000infinity.

Holy crap. Today. was. stressful.

So I got to the station later on than usual because of serious deadlines and responsibilities and such. And then I go to promotions to see if they need help with anything, which they do. Driving. Oh boy.

So I drove all around my decently local area today which included lots of circles, and considering I was working on very little sleep I finally had to call it quits because I couldn't handle it anymore.

It was to promote Star Wars though which is really cool, I think. I just don't feel well at all right now... I don't know how I'm going to make it tomorrow.

:'(

Work today. Blah!

At the station

So yesterday I didn't come into the office because I was at an Advisory Board meeting for the School of Journalism. It was a great experience.

Today I came in nice and early as always on a Tuesday morning. I spoke with Steve Harper a bit about what to do with the morning show countdown, and I also did some work on the side for Neil. I even got to speak to some of the people who won contests on the radio, which was something I never did before and it was quite cool.

I also did westwoods.

It was a pretty good day at the office, I kept busy for most of it and I love the crew from the morning show.

Oh yeah

So I went to the event the other day that I was dreading and it was not so bad. Although it was a lot of physical work. We had the cash cube and the kids kept going in and out and we had to go in and fix the cash and put the pockets and glasses on them and the zipper barely worked so we had to push really hard or pull really hard and it hurt our fingers. It was funny joking with Justin and Chris though -- it's always fun working with them. I was lucky again and I'm sure there are pictures up but I would hardly call them funny if they are because it was a pretty boring event as far as dressing up goes. No entertaining aspects to grasp onto as the duck. Lots of kids. LOTS of kids. But I like kids so it was okay. It was a kid function after all. The place we went to was gorgeous! I can't think of the name but it was a very large and beautiful country club.
